Expansion gussets in the shell and darts in the liner system add fullness to the knee, providing fatigue-free mobility when climbing ladders, crawling or stepping onto apparatus.
2. Thermally-Enhanced Knees
An extra layer of your specified thermal liner and moisture barrier in the liner knees adds padding for comfort and protects this high compression area.
3. Reverse Boot Cut
Pant legs are 1" shorter in the back to avoid premature cuff wear.
4. Exclusive Diamond Crotch Gusset
Distributes fabric stress over five double-stitched seams in both the shell and liner. Eliminates binding and bulk while increasing comfort and durability.
5. Exclusive Independent Waistband
2" wide and lined with water resistant fabric, the waistband is cut on the bias (diagonally) for stretch and a comfortable unrestricted fit. Liner attaches under the waistband for no-gap protection.
6. Easy Adjust Take-Up Straps
Just one quick pull. No hook and loop, metal buckles or dangling straps. Black NOMEX™ twill and high-temp polymer buckles give you quick and easy adjustment.
7. Lumbar Protection Panels
Choose from the standard 6" back bib, optional 3" back bib or no bib at all. With the same three layers of protection as the trousers, they provide breathable overlap and padding for SCBA.
9. Heavy-Duty Closure
Standard hook and dee ring at top of the fly flap works with quadruple-stitched hook and loop fastener or choose from several closure options. Internal fly guarantees complete protection.
10. 4-Piece Body
Cut to provide shape and a tailored fit, allowing the full weight of the trousers to rest on the hips, not on the shoulders.
11. Double-Stitched Seams
The strongest stitching in the industry with double-needle seams and 8 to10 stitches per inch for longer service life.
12. Expansion Pockets
Two 2" x 10" x 10" full bellows style pockets have an extra layer of shell material to reinforce the lower half for longer wear life.
13. Heavy-Duty Cuff Reinforcement
Extra-wide premium pearl gray leather, double-stitched for extended wear, is standard or your choice of optional reinforcement materials.
14. Super-Duty H-Back Suspenders
Standard with every pair of GX-7™ pants, they move with you and adjust easily with no metal parts. Other optional styles are available.
15. Reinforced Hardware
All hook and dees and suspender buttons are reinforced with die-cut leather for a lifetime of service.
16. Thermal Fly
Large fly lined with moisture barrier and internal fly lined with thermal liner and moisture barrier, assure full overlap, no-gap protection at front. Hook and loop fastener is specially treated for flame resistance and attached with quadruple stitching at all primary closures.
17. TRIMTRAX™ Thread Protection System (Patented)
Our patented system of abrasion resistant cording protects the thread securing our reflective trim from abrasion. Lasts longer so maintenance costs are lower and your gear is in service more often.
18. Optional SILIZONE™ Foam Knees
Knees can be padded with SILIZONE™ foam padding to make crawling almost heavenly. The SILIZONE™ padding is installed on the outer shell as standard, but can also be installed on the liner system if you prefer.
