3" half-moon lumbar panel made from the same three layers of protection as the pants together with the higher waist design provide breathable overlap, padding for SCBA, and a perfect fit.
2. KEVLAR® Belt
2" wide KEVLAR® webbing belt is secured by shell fabric loops and high temperature polymer buckle. Belt is bartacked to the pants to prevent loss. Added Benefit: Supports the weight of the pants at the waist. Suspenders are included for secondary support if desired.
3. 2-Layer Independent Waistband
2" wide and lined with water resistant fabric, the waistband is cut on the bias (diagonally) for stretch and a comfortable, unrestricted fit. Added Benefit: Design reduces stress by redistributing weight away from the suspenders and shoulders and onto the waist. Liner attaches under the waistband for comfortable, no-gap protection.
4A. Double-Stitched Seams
The strongest stitching in the industry with double-needle seams and 8 to 10 stitches per inch for longer service life.
4B. Heavy-Duty Closure
Full-length quadruple-stitched hook and loop fastener with external belt for a positive closure. Added benefit: 3" x 8" thermal fly inside provides additional "no-gap" protection.
5. Angled Expansion Pockets
Two 1.5" x 10" x 8"/11"" angled full bellows style pockets have an extra layer of shell material to reinforce the lower half for longer wear life. Perpendicular hook and loop fastener secures the flap empty or full. Added Benefit: Pocket flaps are oversize for complete coverage when pockets are full.
6. Super-Duty H-Back Suspenders
Standard with every pair of pants, they feature 2" rigid webbing material over the shoulder for slip resistance, 2" elastic front and back for unrestricted motion, and high temperature polymer hardware. Rip-cord quick-release design is also available.
7. Flex-Action Knees
To add mobility to the knee when crawling, kneeling, or climbing, a proportionally contoured bellows panel incorporating 4 expansion pleats is sewn into the outer shell, complemented by darts in the thermal liner and moisture barrier of the knee.
7A. AXTION™ Liner (Patented)
The liner has darts in both the thermal and moisture barriers corresponding to the added length in the shell provided by the AXTION™ knee. The liner has a reverse boot cut in the back and a concave cut in the front to keep the liner from hanging below the shell and is connected at the cuff with 2 snap tabs for security.
8. Thermally-Enhanced Knees
An extra layer of your specified thermal liner and moisture barrier in the liner knees adds padding for comfort and protects this high compression area.
9. Reverse Boot Cut
Pant legs are 1" shorter in the back to avoid premature cuff wear.
9A. Heavy-Duty Cuff Reinforcement
Extra-wide premium pearl gray leather, double-stitched for extended wear, is standard or your choice of optional reinforcement materials.
10. TRIMTRAX™ Thread Protection (Patented)
Our patented system of abrasion resistant KEVLAR® cording protects the thread securing our reflective trim from abrasion. Lasts longer than conventional trim stitching so maintenance costs are lower and your gear is in service more often.
10A. Reflective Trim
We offer a wide choice of trim styles and materials to meet your visibility requirements.
11. Reinforced Hardware
All hook and dees and suspender buttons are reinforced with precision die-cut leather. Reinforcement is centered to ensure that the hardware never misses the intended application point.
12. Optional SILIZONE™ Foam Knees
Knees can be padded with SILIZONE™ foam padding to make crawling almost heavenly. The SILIZONE™ padding is installed on the outer shell as standard, but can also be installed on the liner system if you prefer.
