NFPA 1951 & 1999 Compliant
Meets and exceeds the Rescue and Recovery provisions of NFPA 1951: Standard on Protective Ensemble for Technical Rescue Incidents, 2007 Edition, and NFPA 1999: Standard on Protective Clothing for Emergency Medical Incidents. 2008 Edition provides protection from flash fire, NFPA common liquids* and blood and body fluids.
CROSSTECH® S/R fabric is an intimate bi-component membrane that is laminated to a flame- resistant NOMEX® lllA woven fabric. This fabric is highly breathable and liquid penetration resistant to blood, body fluids, common accident scene chemicals*, and water, providing comfort and heat stress relief unmatched by any other liquid barrier.
Cargo Pockets
Side pockets with two expansion pleats and flaps with hook and loop closure are positioned on each thigh for ready access and storage. Right rear patch pocket with flap. An extra layer of shell material reinforces the lower half of the cargo pockets for longer wear. 
Reinforced Knees
An extra layer of outer shell fabric provides additional padding, protection, and durability for this high abrasion area.
Optional Reflective Trim with TRIMTRAX™
3M Scotchlite™ reflective material in 3" triple trim design in your choice of lime/yellow (silver center) or red/orange (silver center) provides day/night visibility.
Waistband
Elasticized Waistband and standard 3" belt loops with optional belt and optional zipper hook and loop fly allow the pants to go on or off easily and provides a comfortable and secure fit.
Taped Seams
All seams and stitching through the CROSSTECH® S/R fabric are sealed with GORE-SEAM® tape on a proprietary GORE-SEAM® sealing machine, utilizing the latest technology from W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc.
Seam Construction
Both Coats and Pants are constructed with NOMEX® thread for its inherent elasticity and flame resistance. Seam strength far exceeds the minimum requirements established by NFPA 1951 for longer service life.
Leg Zippers
Long, zippered and gusseted openings on each leg allow the pants to go on and off easily over footwear.
Free-Hanging Liner System
2-layer laminated lining is more flexible and allows for customization of the separate outer shell fabric layer without penetrating the CROSSTECH® S/R barrier.
Other Options
Detachable hood, letter or number patches, high visibility lettering, hook and loop ID strips, suspenders, belt, zipper/hook and loop fly closure, and NOMEX® fleece/winter liner (coats only) are available.
*NFPA defined “common chemicals": Battery acid (37% sulfuric), gasoline (ASTM Ref. Fuel C), hydraulic fluid (phosphate-ester), aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) and swimming pool chlorine solution (65% free CI).
